John has been involved in coaching since it began to take hold in Australasia in the mid-1990s. He is IECL's Head of Coaching and is passionate about the professionalisation of the industry.
John has been involved in coaching since it began to take hold in the Australasian region in the mid-1990s and he is passionate about the professionalisation of the industry. To this end, John has held leadership positions and contributed to various committees in the coaching industry over many years. His most recent contributions have been through his role as President for the International Coach Federation " Australasia. He was also a member of the Standards Australia working party, which wrote the guideline for "Coaching in Organisations" - a global first.
John is a very experienced coach with thousands of hours of coaching experience across a range of industries and leadership levels, and he remains committed to his own coaching development.
As well as being a coach, John is also passionate about empowering and equipping others with coaching capability. As a highly skilled facilitator he has designed and delivered "Coaching Skills for Leaders" programs for many organisations, spending over 100 days a year in front of a training room developing others.
John has coached and trained managers at all levels in private and public sectors in Australia and abroad. He has worked with organisations within industries including Legal, Banking, Insurance, Social Media, Music, Advertising, Publishing, Education and Government departments. Currently John is lead coach on several of the IECL's major programs.
John brings a systems thinking filter to everything he does with a stand out concept from his Masters being "The quality of the System is determined by the quality of the Conversation".
