IECL have been engaged to assist an insurance group with operations across Australia, New Zealand and Asia employing more than 15,000 people through a period of change and transformation. As the organisation moved towards a purposeful organisation and acquired another large insurer, significant change to organisational structure and leadership roles was required. Newly appointed or promoted leaders were expected to deliver increased collaboration, foster new ideas, be customer centric and support the purpose.
IECL was (and remains) contracted to deliver transition coaching to the top leadership tiers including Senior Managers (reporting to a Head Of or General Manager), Heads Of (reporting to a General Manager) or General Managers (Group General Manager / Executive General Manager and equivalent) ” reporting to CEOs. The types of transition include promotion into new role, move to newly created role, move to different function/division and new to the organisation. To date, 86 coaching engagements have commenced with 60 complete over an 18 month timeframe. Each leader receives 7 hours of coaching within 6 months and their manager/sponsor is involved as a key stakeholder.
100% of coaching engagements have been a successful match and both the leaders (coachee) and clients (decision maker) overall satisfaction levels are exceptionally high. Key data gathered to date includes: 92.9% of coachees strongly agree or agree coaching assisted them to achieve what needed to be achieved during change, 83.3% of coachees strongly agree or agree that coaching made a real difference to the way they approached and dealt with change and 92.9% would recommend Transition Coaching to others. The contracted has recently been extended.
