James brings extensive experience as a former senior executive lawyer in public and private sectors and has managed some 30 lawyers as well as leading significant legislative initiatives. He is an experienced executive coach, mentor, facilitator and trainer.

Previously, James worked as a senior executive service lawyer with the Department of Social Services and later as a Special Counsel, Public Law with a top-tier national law firm.
He was closely involved in major social policy legislative initiatives, like the National Disability Insurance Scheme and the National Gambling Reforms. He has also worked as a workplace investigator, investigating bullying and whistle-blower matters, as well as helping agencies implement cultural reform.
His experience in leading and managing a Branch of some 30 lawyers and his strong interest in assisting professionals to reach their full potential led him to his complete his IECL accreditation, and he loves applying this accreditation in practice.
James draws upon his warm and enthusiastic manner and his down-to-earth attitude to form trust-based and robust relationships with clients.
His strengths include: relationship building; authentic leadership knowledge; effective goal-setting and maximizing others" abilities. James is particularly adept at helping managers in transition (e.g. with strategies needed to reach, and be fully effective at, more senior levels) and assisting professionals (both public and private sector) with career management issues (e.g. making successful career transitions).
