Background

 

Alison's professional experience has spanned over 20 years, working across the globe including China, Singapore, Sydney, London, New York, California and Ireland. Alison has made Shanghai, China her home for the last 15 years. Alison is currently the Principal for Integral Coaching Asia, and has great enthusiasm to support executives in self-awareness development as a Leader and managing difficult communications.

 

Prior to this role, Alison spent 10 years at Glaxo SmithKline China creating two rapidly growing departments. She had a strong focus on developing Chinese executives to work effectively in a large MNC together with a fine balance on managing the rapid business growth of corporate China.

 

In 1995, Alison became a Co-Founder and General Manager of the first successful Sino-Foreign joint-venture Healthcare provider, now Parkway Health (a large conglomerate in Singapore). Alison was instrumental in the negotiations and creating partnerships between the physicians from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the Shanghai government.

 

Alison also spent some years as a Management Consultant in Ernst & Young (now Cap Gemini) Singapore, New York and Sydney. Before entering the corporate world, Alison started her career as a Medical Doctor, working across the globe, where her responsibilities not only involved tending to the sick but managing both healthcare providers and customers.

 

In 2012, Alison was selected to be one of the six coaches to be trained in a prestigious award winning coaching programme, Appropriate Response Personal Excellence Programme.

 

In her spare time, Alison volunteers her medical expertise to Caritas charity, is passionate about mindfulness practices, enjoys jazz singing, practicing taiqi and spending time with her husband, her 2 sons and Shun-shun, the dog.

 

Alison is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay and conversational in Cantonese.
